Is justice on the cards of Binayak Sen?

Binayak Sen
Bilaspur, Jan 24: Human Rights activist Binayak Sen may soon get justice as Chhattisgarh High Court today (Monday, Jan 24) will hear a petition for the suspension of earlier sentence and grant of bail.

Last month, Dr Sen was sentenced lifetime imprisonment and he was sent to the Raipur prison as he was accused of committing sedition along with two others, Kolkata businessman Piyush Guha and Maoist ideologue Narayan Sanyal.

One of the most renowned criminal lawyers and BJP MP Ram Jethmalani will fight for the justice of Sen in Court today.

61-year-old Sen filed a petition in the Chattisgarh High Court on Jan 6, challenging the decision of the district and sessions court order that convicted Sen under various charges included sedition and sentenced him to life imprisonment.
