BJP MLAs to stage dharna before Raj Bhavan tomorrow

Bangalore, Jan 24 (PTI) Intensifying its attack onGovernor H R Bhardwaj, legislators of the ruling BJP inKarnataka today decided to stage a demonstration before RajBhavan here tomorrow seeking his recall.

The protest is to give vent to the ire of the BJPagainst Bhardwaj for giving sanction to prosecute ChiefMinister B S Yeddyurappa on allegations of corruption, partysources said.

BJP will hold its legislature party meeting at a hotellocated near Raj Bhavan in the morning and later stage theprotest, they said.

A BJP delegation called on President Pratibha Patiland demanded Bhardwaj''s recall accusing him of acting in apartisan manner.

Bhardwaj on January 21 gave his sanction forprosecution of Yeddyurappa on petitions by two lawyers, anaction that aggravated the hostility between the governor andthe ruling party.
