Huge rush of devotees at Tirumala temple

Tirumala, Jan 23: Devotees' rush in Tirumala was very heavy as 18 compartments of the Vaikuntam Queue Complex in the Balaji temple was filled since last night. Since it was weekend, the devotees' rush was very huge.

For 'Sarvadarshanam' it was taking 10 hours and for special darshan it was taking three hours at the temple. Usually on Sundays the rush will be more. The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) implements 'Laghu Darshan' on Tuesdays and Wednesdays to ensure hassle free darshan of Lord Venkateswara (Balaji), the temple deity.

The TTD has decided to restrict the tickets of Rs 300 'Pratyeka Pravesha Darshan' till 2 pm on both Tuesdays and Wednesdays alone, according to the Executive Officer of TTD IYR Krishna Rao.
