Naxal leader killed in AP police combing operation

Khammam (AP), Jan 23: Naxalites' movement in Andhra Pradesh on Sunday, Jan 23, received another blow as a Dal Commander lost his life when police and the outlaws opened fire against each other in Khammam district of the state.

Firing took place between police and the outlaws in forest area of Allapalli police station limits in the district. Dal commander of Pajapratighatana organisation Suresh is said to have been gunned down in the naxal-police clash.

Police, on a tip off, had reached the forest area and started combing operation. Firing took place on both the sides and Suresh was killed in the clash, sources said.

Police have recovered two guns and the combing operation was still on, the source added.
