Three-day university research festival begins in Nashik
Nashik, Jan 21 (PTI) The fifth intra-state universityresearch festival ''Avishkar 2011'' was today inaugurated by DrD C Katoch, national consultant (traditional medicine andhomoeopathy), World Health Organisation.
About 550 students from across Maharashtra and delegatesfrom 19 universities, attended the three-day festivalorganised by city based Maharashtra University of Healthsciences (MUHS).
Students will present their projects on various subjectsand the three best projects would be selected for awards,organisers said.
Discourses on various topics by eminent personalities andlectures on health related issues by experts and exhibition,besides cultural programmes by students have also beenarranged, they said.
Maharashtra Minister of medical education VijaykumarGavit, Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open UniversityVice-Chancellor Dr R Krishnakumar, MUHS Vice-Chancellor DrArun Jamkar were among the guests present at the inauguralfunction.
