Abandoned baby girl dies in hospital

Jaipur, Jan 21 (PTI) A newborn baby girl, who wasfound abandoned in Rajasthan''s Ganganagar district, died in ahospital, police said today.

The unidentified baby, who was born prematurely, wasfound abandoned by police on January 19.

The baby was found abandoned in some bushes by a womanworking in a nearby area, Nisha Chauhan, who is working withan NGO in the district, said.

The baby was taken to hospital by the police, shesaid.

The baby could not survive as she was born prematurelyand was suffering from the resultant complications, Dr AvinashSardana, who looked after the infant at the SriganganagarGovernment Hospital, said.
