Teacher arrested for molesting nine-year-old girl

Hyderabad, Jan 19 (PTI) A private school teacher wastoday arrested for allegedly outraging the modesty of a thirdstandard girl student of the same school at Nizampet here,police said.

The accused Antony Xavier, who works as a science teacherin the school, allegedly lured the nine-year-old girl to hisroom (located near the school) yesterday and allegedly kissedand touched her private parts, they said.

The victim complained to her mother of pain in herprivate parts this morning, a police officer said quoting acomplaint lodged by the girl''s parents with the KukatpallyPolice here.

Earlier, angered over the incident, the girl''s fatheralong with locals went to the school and held a demonstrationdemanding suspension of the teacher. They also "manhandled"the teacher and later handed him over to the police.

"Following the complaint, we registered a case of outrageof modesty against Xavier and arrested him," the policeofficer said. Further investigations were on.
