Reshuffle fails to show govt''s resolve to fight graft: BJP
New Delhi, Jan 19 (PTI) Claiming that Prime MinisterManmohan Singh did not get a free hand in effecting UPA IIfirst ministerial reshuffle, BJP today said the exercise has"failed" to show the government''s resolve to fight corruption.
"The reshuffle has failed to show the government''sresolve to fight corruption...The only message one gets isthat even today, the PM is not able to effect a reshuffle byrising above pressure. He has failed on the expectations ofthe people," BJP spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain said.
He alleged the government was not capable of givingany political message.
"No brave efforts were made to remove those againstwhom there were talks (of corruption) or those whose nameshave appeared in (Niira Radia) tapes. The Prime Minister hasonly sent his ministers from one building to the other," hesaid.
