Polio drops for 1.57 lakh children in Dharmapuri dist

Dharmapuri (TN), Jan 19 (PTI) A total of 1.57 lakhchildren under 5 years age group will be convered under thenational pulse-polio immunisation camp during Jan 23 and Feb27 in district.

Polio drops would be administered in 903 rural centers and20 urban centers covering government hospitals, Primary HealthCentres and Sub Centers, Nutrition Centers, select schools andRailway stations and bus stands in the district, officialssaid.

About 4,000 staff from Health, Social Welfare, Nutrition,Rural Development, Revenue, Education, and Municipaladministration would be engaged in the exercise.

Over two lakh dozes of polio drops were being kept ready inall Primary Health Centres and Government Hospitals, DistrictCollector R.Anandakumar said.
