Husband murders wife

Muzaffarnagar, Jan 19 (PTI) A husband allegedlymurdered his wife at Kabaraut village here by slitting herthroat after she opposed his illicit relationship, policesaid.

A case was registered yesterday against Virendra andhis family, they said.

35-year-old Amresh was not living with Virendra forsome time. She came back to her in-laws house after Virendrarequested her to return.

Yesterday, the couple had a heated argument over someissue after which Virendra murdered her by slitting herthroat, police said.

While police has arrested Leela Devi, themother-in-law of the victim, her husband, father-in-law andbrother-in-law are absconding, they said, adding efforts areon to nab them.
