Elderly man helps police nab a pick-pocket
New Delhi, Jan 19 (PTI) A 60-year-old man chased twoyouths who had allegedly picked his pocket and helped policenab one of them, police said today.
Satish Chaddha, a resident of Rohini, had boarded abus from Saibaba Chowk to Karol Bagh yesterday and two youthsallegedly pulled out Rs 4000 from his pocket while he wasbuying the ticket.
"He caught one of the boys but he had passed on thecash to his associate. When the vehicle halted at the busstop and both the youths got down, Chaddha also got downand chased them," Chhaya Sharma, Deputy Commissioner of Police(Outer), said.
A Beat Constable Harish, who was present near SaibabaChowk, apprehended one of the accused persons, who wasidentified as Kirpal Singh (21).
Singh told police that his associate Anand managed toescape.
