DHLSC to hold Lok Adalat to solve labour, accident claims

New Delhi, Jan 19 (PTI) The Delhi High Court LegalServices Committee (DHCLSC) would organise Lok Adalats onJanuary 29 to settle labour and accident claim cases whichare pending adjudication for years in regular courts.

"Now, the Lok Adalats in the High Court premises wouldbe organised on the last Saturday of every month and litigantsand advocates interested in their matters being taken up inthe ''Lok Adalat'' may contact the DHCSLC office here," RajeshKumar Singh, Secretary of the DHCLSC, said.

Meanwhile, the Delehi Legal services Authority (DLSA)is also holding Lok Adalats on January 30 in all the sixdistrict courts of the national capital to resolvelong-pending cases.

"The cases registered under the Negotiable InstrumentsAct (cheque bounce matters), recovery cases of banks,financial institutions and telecom companies would be taken upin the Lok Adalats to be held in district courts complexes,"Digvinay Singh, project officer of DLSA, said.

"Anybody desirous of getting his or her matter settledcan approach the court concerned court where the case ispending or can also approach the DLSA," he said.
