Cases to be filed against SI, Nayak for swindling Rs 5.5 lakh

Madurai, Jan19(PTI) The City Police Commissioner todayordered registration of a case against a Sub-Inspector and aNayak,who belonged to the 6th Battalion of the Tamil NaduSpecial police in this city,for allegedly swindling funds tothe tune of Rs.5.50 Lakh when they were in charge of a godown.

Police said the SI Mohankumar and Nayak Vijayakumar, whowere already under suspension for various charges,were foundto have swindled money when they were in charge of a LPGgodown.

Based on a report from the Assistant Commissioner ofPolice Raman,the Commissioner ordered cases to be filedagainst the duo.
