BJP eyes win bye-polls in two MP assembly constituencies
Bhopal, Jan 20 (PTI) Fresh from its victory in therecent civic elections in Madhya Pradesh, the state BJP plansto go all-out to win the bye-elections for the Kukshiand Sonkatch assembly constituencies slated next month.
Stating this, the State BJP President, Prabhat Jha toldPTI here today that a victory in the two constituencies had alot of significance for his party.
Jha said the most important thing for the BJP was that theCongress had won from these two constituencies in the November2008 assembly elections.
"We are determined to ensure that the trend of 2008 isreversed this time," he said.
In those elections, Jamuna Devi and Sajjan Singh Vermaboth of the Congress had won from Kukshi and Sonkatchrespectively.
Of these constituencies, Kukshi is reserved for the STand Sonkatch for the SC. Jha said he will be concentrating onwinning these bye-elections and added that he had cancelledall his programmes till February 14.
