Top ULFA leadership holds ''secret'' meeting

Nalbari, Jan 18 (PTI) Top ULFA leaders, out on bail,today met at a ''secret'' location in this district and arebelieved to have discussed holding of the group''s executivemeeting prior to the proposed peace talks with the government.

The rebel leaders arrived here yesterday to decidewhen the its general council meeting would be held forchalking out the modalities for the talks, sources said.

They also met the once dreaded ''strike force 709battalion'' cadres based in the area, to discuss the peaceprocess, the sources said.

Those present at the meeting were ''chairman'' ArabindaRajkhowa, ''vice-chairman'' Pradip Gogoi, ''deputy ''commander-in-chief'' Raju Baruah, ''foreign secretary'' Sashadhar Choudhury,''finance secretary'' Chitrabon Hazarika, his wife and ''culturalsecretary'' Pranati Deka and ''publicity secretary'' MithingaDaimary.
