Select copra rises on better demand

Mumbai, Jan 19 (PTI) Copra Alapuzha and copra Kozhikodeprices recovered at the spices market here today due to freshbuying by stockists and traders amidst good demand frommillers.

Copra edible Mumbai also firmed up on renewed retailofftake.

Copra office Alapuzha rose by Rs 150 per quintal toRs 6,450 from overnight closing level of Rs 6,300 and copraedible Mumbai moved up by Rs 50 per quintal to Rs 7,600 asagainst Rs 7,550 previously.

Copra office Kozhikode also edged up by Rs 25 per quintalto Rs 6,225 from Rs 6,200 yesterday.

Other spices closed stable in the absence of necessarybuying support.
