NMMT inducts Mercedes-Benz luxury bus in its fleet

Mumbai, Jan 18 (PTI) Navi Mumbai Municipal Transport(NMMT) today inducted Mercedes-Benz luxury city bus in itsfleet, which was offered by the company for a trial period ofone month.

Mercedes-Benz city bus has been offered for a trialperiod of one month for thorough trial to check technicalsuitability and viability of the buses on city roadconditions.

The bus will be run on the CBD to Bandra Railway Station (W)and subsequently on CBD to Borivali Railway Station route.

"We constantly endeavour to provide our commuters withthe best in terms of luxury, comfort and safety. ThusMercedes-Benz buses emerged as an obvious choice for us. Nowour customers can truly experience unmatched comfort, safetyand luxury in bus travel," Navi Mumbai Municipal TransportGeneral Manager G C Mangle said in a statement.

"We at Navi Mumbai Municipal Transport believe thatMercedes-Benz buses being global market leaders would be adominant bus manufacturer in India in the coming years,"Mangle said.

Mercedes-Benz has already conducted successful trial runsin Pune, Mumbai and Bangalore for its low entry and semi-lowfloor buses.
