Farmer commits suicide in MP

Bhopal, Jan 19 (PTI) One farmer committed suicide whileanother tried to take his own life in Madhya Pradesh, owing todebt and crop problems.

Reports reaching here today said that Dadhival Jaiswal, aresident of Ahirgaon in Rewa district committed suicide byhanging from the ceiling of his room yesterday.

His family members said that Dadhival Jaiswal wasdepressed as frost had damaged crops on his land and addedthat he had taken Rs 35000 as loan for sowing.

In Damoh district, Raju Ahirwar made a failed suicideattempt in village Mahuna under Patera tehsil by consumingpesticide. He is now undergoing treatment in the districthospital.
