Certificate course in Gandhian philosophy for prisoners

Rajahmundry, Jan 19 (PTI) The AP Gandhian Studies Centreat Y N College in West Godavai District is going to conduct athree-month certificate course on Gandhian philosophy formale prisoners in Rajahmundry Central jail.

Dr D Venkateswara Rao Director, Gandhian studies ,Y NCollege Narsapur told PTI today that the UGC sponsoredprogramme of Gandhian studies centre has been organisingorientation programmes and workshops in central jail toinculcate Gandhian values in prisoners since 2007.

As a part of these programmes, the certificate course forthe prisoners on Gandhian philosophy was inaugurated at thecentral jail today.

The programme will be attended by peace musician StephenWaligur ,Washington DC , peace activist Dr Michael AndrewWisconsin ,USA and DIG (prisons) Chandrasekhar, In-charge JailSuperintendent Fazil Hauq and others.
