Bhimsen Joshi''s condition "stable"
Pune, Jan 18 (PTI) The condition of legendary vocalistBhimsen Joshi is "stable" and he did not require dialysissince yesterday, his physician said today.
The health bulletin issued by Dr Atul Joshi, who istreating the octogenarian Bharat Ratna awardee, said, "BhimsenJoshi did not require dialysis yesterday and today. Hisrespiration is also better."
"We have been taking off his ventilator for two hoursintermittently. His drowsy state is still a cause of concern.
We are putting in our best effort for his recovery," he said.
Meanwhile, Srinivas Joshi, son of the eminent singer,has appealed to anxious fans to pray for his early recoveryand refrain from visiting the hospital.
Bhimsen Joshi was hospitalised last week after hecomplained of breathlessness and vomiting. Following a kidneyfailure, he has been on a periodic dialysis.
