Another diplomat transferred back for misbehaving with
passenger
New Delhi, Jan.18 (PTI) In the second incident in lessthan a week, Government has transferred back home yet anotherdiplomat for allegedly misbehaving with a passenger on an AirIndia flight to New York.
Alok Ranjan Jha, a 2002 IFS officer and first secretaryin the Permanent Mission in New York, has been asked to returnto Delhi following the incident on January 7, sources said.
It comes close on the heels of the External AffairsMinistry transferring back to India Anil Verma, third-rankingdiplomat in the Indian High Commission in London, followingallegations of assaulting his wife.
The sources said the incident involving Jha was lookedinto immediately and he was transferred back to New Delhi.
Necessary follow-up action will be taken once Jha isback in New Delhi, they said.
