Woman from MP gang-raped

Allahabad, Jan 17 (PTI) A woman from Madhya Pradesh wasgang-raped at a village on the outskirts of the city, even aspolice claimed to have caught one of the accused.

The incident took place in Jhusi police station area,falling in the district''s trans-Ganga region, where the25-year-old woman hailing from Rewa district of Madhya Pradeshwas sexually assaulted by three persons, police said.

The woman, who was in the city with her family, to takepart in the ongoing religious congregation ''Magh Mela'',reported the matter to the police, following which one of thealleged miscreants was arrested, police said.
