Washington, Jan 18 (ANI): Two teenage girls from Florida have been charged under the state's cyberbullying law for allegedly posting fake nude photographs of a classmate on Facebook.
According to The Naples Daily News, the 15- and 16-year-old high school students were charged last week after an extensive investigation into two obscene Facebook accounts created in April, reports CBS News.
The accounts included a photo of the victim's head affixed to a 'nude prepubescent girl's body'," according to the probable cause statement obtained by The Smoking Gun.
One of the suspects admitted to the authorities that she created the two pages 'as a joke because she thought it would be funny'.uthorities claim classmates ridiculed the victim after the pages became active.
Both of the accused will be facing felony charge of aggravated stalking under a 2008 amendment after a student suicide was blamed on bullying.
The teens have been ordered to serve 21 days of home confinement and will be arraigned on the charges on February 8. (ANI)
