Sugar declines on reduced demand
Mumbai, Jan 18 (PTI) Sugar prices declined further atthe Vashi Wholesale market here today owing to lower demand bystockists and bulk consumers, amidst selling pressure frommills.
Medium sugar quality (M-30) fell by Rs 15/30 per quintalto Rs 2,891/2,951 from overnight closing level of Rs 2,906/2,981.
Small sugar quality (S-30) also lost Rs 20 per quintal toRs 2,861/2,901 as against Rs 2,881/2,921 yesterday.
The following are today''s closing rates per quintal, withthe previous rates in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality Rs 2,861/2,901 (Rs 2,881/2,921) and medium sugar (M-30) quality Rs 2,891/2,951(Rs 2,906/2,981).
