Rs 15 lakh looted bank in Bihar

Samastipur (Bihar), Jan 18 (PTI) Motor-cycle bornedacoits today looted Rs 15 lakh in cash from a branch of anationalised bank at Tanda chowk under Kalyanpur policestation in Samastipur district.

DSP Rajiv Ranjan said eight persons reached the bankon three motorcycles this afternoon and forced the bankmanager to hand over the keys of the chest at gun point.

They then decamped with Rs 15 lakh in cash from thechest.

There were 15 customers at the branch at that time.

Ranjan said the borders of the district had beensealed and search operation launched to nab the criminals whofled along Kalyanpur-Pusa Road.
