PM meets Prez amid reshuffle buzz

New Delhi, Jan 17 (PTI) Amid speculation of a rejig inthe Union Council of Ministers, Prime Minister Manmohan Singhtoday met President Pratibha Patil and discussed the upcomingbudget session of Parliament and pressing issues like pricerise and internal security.

A Rashtrapati Bhavan spokesperson said the meetinglasted 45 minutes during which the two leaders discussedthe current economic situation and various other issues ofnational and international importance.

The issues included price rise, internal security andthe budget session, the spokesperson said.

The timing of the meeting taking place ahead of theParliament session has led to speculation of a reshuffle inthe Union Council of Ministers.
