Northern Command Chief briefs JK Governor on security issue

Jammu, Jan 18 (PTI) General Officer inCommand-in-Chief Northern Command Lt Gen K T Parnaik briefedJammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra about the security andinfiltration situation in the state.

During the one-and-a-half hour meeting held lastnight, the Governor and the Northern Army Commander discussedvarious issues relating to the internal and external securitymanagement, the continuing attempts of infiltration fromacross the International Border and the Line of Control andthe overall security scenario in the state, a Raj Bhawanspokesman said here today.

This was the first meeting of Lt Gen Parnaik, who tookover as Northern Command Chief on January one, with theGovernor.
