India pinches China over stapled visa issue

During a press conference on Jan 18, India'a Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao stated, "There will be both competition and cooperation but a stable dynamic equilibrium can be maintained within the larger matrix of dialogue and diplomacy."
And, finally pinching China indirectly, Rao claimed, "But China has to demonstrate sensitivity to India's core interests."
India considers the Chinese Paper visas issued to its citizens as invalid and had taken up the matter with the Wen Jiabao, the Chinese premier when he visited New Delhi in Dec 2010. Wen had then assured of a discussion on the matter and emphasised that China will take India's concerns seriously.
However, on global issues, Rao asserted that India and China have several areas where cooperation has been possible - ranging from WTO trade matters, environment to energy security.
