Government trying to save its face: Gadkari

New Delhi, Jan 18: BJP President Nitin Gadkari on Tuesday, Jan 18 renewed LK Advani's demand, to make public the names of Indian nationals those who have money deposited in Swiss banks. And also claimed that the Central government was not disclosing the names, to save its face.

Advani on Sunday appreciated the Supreme Court's effort in bringing back the black money to India and asked Congress-led UPA government to disclose the names of Indians those who have stashed money in abroad banks.

Gadkari said, "I demand from the Central Government the names of those who have cheated and betrayed the country and amassed this black money. This money belongs to people of India, which has been kept in the Swiss bank. The Central Government has got the names of such people and the government should immediately reveal the names."

Gadkari also pointed out the skyrocketing prices of basic commodities and criticized PM Manmohan Singh for his inability in controlling price hike.

Gadkari said, "our economist Prime Minister has failed to handle our economic policies. The wrong economic policies and bad governance of the Congress Party is basically a problem for our unemployment, poverty and price rise."
