Estate worker attacked by bears
Coimbatore, Jan 17 (PTI): A estate worker in Valparai inthe district has been badly injured after two bears attackedhim, officials said.
Deepak (34) from Assam, working in the Waterfalls estate wasattacked by the bears while returning home after purchasingsome household items, forest department sources said.
Though other workers managed to scare away the animalsafter hearing his screams, Deepak sustained severe injuries onhis face, hands, thigh and abdomen and has been admitted tothe Government hospital there.
