Each university to receive Rs one crore for publishing books
Dharwad, Jan 17 (PTI): The Karnataka government wouldrelease Rs one crore each to all 21 universities in the statefor publication of books, Minister for Kannda and CultureGovind Karjol said today.
Speaking to media here, he said preliminary arrangementswere on to hold the Vishwa Kannada Sahitya Sammelana atBelgaum despite some minor glitches.
He said the Gangubai Hanagal Memorial Trust would bededicated to the nation on March 15.
The Pandit Basavaraj Raj Guru Trust and Gurukula Trustwould be developed with an additional Rs one crore. A proposalto this regard has been sent by the deputy commissioner andthe government was looking into it, he said.
