BJP to fight UP polls on Bihar pattern

Meerut, Jan 17 (PTI) With the NDA registering ahistoric victory in Bihar, BJP today said it would contest theupcoming Assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh on a similar modelunder its banner.

"The BJP has decided to fight the upcoming Assemblypolls in UP on the pattern of Bihar under the banner of NDA,"NDA convenor and BJP national spokesperson Syed ShahnawazHussain said.

Attacking the Congress for the 2G spectrum scam andthe Bofors issue, he said that the Congress has now lost theright to continue in government.

"Except BJP in India, no other party desires to makeIndia strong. Now, corruption has gone so high that it cannotbe counted in figures...Congress in nowhere in contest," hesaid, addressing a rally here on Sunday.
