Appropriate action as per law : Gadkari

Bhubaneswar, Jan 18 (PTI) Endorsing the UnionEnvironment Ministry''s direction for demolition of thescam-hit Adarsh Housing Society building in Mumbai, the BJPtoday said that appropriate action needed to be taken as perlaw.

"Let it be demolished (Adarsh building) ... if it iswrong it is wrong. As the society was meant for housing thefamilies of Kargil martyrs appropriate action should be takenin accordance with the law," BJP President Nitin Gadkari toldreporters when asked about the union ministry''s direction tothe housing society to demolish the 31-storey building inColaba area of Mumbai within three months.

Gadkari, however, said that the environment ministryshould strike a balance between environment and developmentwhile dealing with matters relating to industrial and otherprojects.
