60 quintal explosive material seized from quarry site

Dehri-on-Sone, Jan 18 (PTI) Police today seized 60quintal ammonium nitrate from a quarry site near Amratalabvillage under Mufassil police station area in Bihar''s Rohtasdistrict and arrested two persons in this connection, a policeofficial said.

Acting on a tip off, the police seized the explosivematerials from a quarry site belonging to one SanjaySingh, the Superintendent of Police (SP) Vikas Vaibhav said.

While Singh managed to flee, two of his associatesSunil Singh and Jitendra Sharma, have been arrested, he said.

The duo were being questioned about their links withthe naxalites amid suspicion that the haul of explosives wasmeant for supply to the left-wing ultras, Vaibhav said. PTICORR KDK CR
