4 held with one kg heroin
Kapurthala, Jan 17 (PTI) Four persons were arrested andone kg heroin worth Rs eight crore in the international marketwas recovered from their possession near here today, policesaid.
"Acting on a tip-off, police intercepted a jeep atKanjali village. During search of the vehicle, they recoveredthe drug hidden in it, following which the four occupants ofthe jeep were arrested," SSP Sukhminder Singh Mann said.
All the arrested are residents of Jammu and Kashmir, hesaid.
During interrogation, the accused confessed that they hadbought the heroin from Jammu for selling it in Kapurthala, theSSP said.
