13 Indian fishermen arrested by Pak

Karachi, Jan 17 (PTI) Pakistani authorities havearrested 13 Indian fishermen and seized four boats for fishingillegally in country''s territorial waters.

The arrest of the 13 Indian fishermen comes just ninedays after Maritime security had also arrested 10 Indianfishermen and seized four boats for violation of territorialwaters.

The fishermen arrested last night were produced in amagistrates court which gave police judicial custody for them.

Pakistani and Indian authorities frequently arrestpoor fishermen on both sides of the border who are nabbed forviolation of territorial waters.

A police official said the 13 Indians were arrestedfrom inside the Pakistani territorial waters and they cameinto catch fish despite being given warnings by the maritimesecurity to turn back.
