Speeding car runs over boy; driver arrested

New Delhi, Jan 16 (PTI) A four-year-old boy was killedtoday when a speeding car ran over him outside his Outer Delhiresidence.

The incident took place in Rohini Sector 24 at around 10AM when Ayush was playing outside his house, a senior policeofficial said.

"The driver of the car Akhilesh failed to spot the childand ran over him. Ayush was rushed to Sanjay Gandhi hospitalwhere he was declared brought dead," the official said.

Akhilesh was arrested and a case of rash and negligentdriving has been registered against him, he said.
