New Tunisian government Monday: opposition
Tunis, Jan 16 (AFP) The composition of a new Tunisiangovernment will be announced tomorrow and will not include anyparties close to disgraced former president Zine El AbidineBen Ali, an opposition leader said.
"The composition of the new government will beannounced tomorrow morning," Maya Jribi, secretary general ofthe opposition Progressive Democratic Party, told AFP aftertalks with Prime Minister Mohammed Ghannouchi.
Ghannouchi met the leaders of the main oppositionparties in Tunis.
"There has been a consensus decision to exclude thepro-governmental parties," said Jribi.
"The new government will be composed ofrepresentatives of the Ettajdid (Renewal) movement, the PDP,the Democratic Front for Labour and Freedoms (FDTL) as well asindependent figures," he said. (AFP)
