Leopard cub found dead

Vadodara Jan 17 (PTI) A one and half years'' old femaleleopard cub was found dead in Patrapar village of Junagadhdistrict, a forest official said.

The official said that the cub may have died due toinjuries suffered during a fight with another leopard.

Talking to PTI, range forest officer Deepak Pandya saidthat the carcass was recovered from the farm owned by oneBhikhabhai Dhadhukiya yesterday.

"The team which conducted post mortem of the cub foundinjuries on the head and the neck which could have been due tofight with other leopards over prey, or mate," he said.

Last week, another female leopard cub was run down by atrain in Dungarpur.
