Kerala Mochana Yatra to resume on January 18
Thiruvananthapuram,Jan 16 (PTI):The Kerala Mochana Yatra''led by Opposition Leader Oommen Chandy which was cancelledtemporarily in Kozhikode due to the Sabarimala mishap wouldresume on January 18 at Perinthalmanna in Malappuram district,organising committee convenor M M Hassan said today.
In a statement here, he said the concluding function of theYatra in Malappuram district would be held on Jan 30. InKozhikode district, public meetings would be held on Feb 5 and6, while programmes of the Yatra in other districts had notbeen changed, he said.
The Yatra would enter Thrissur district on January 21 andwould tour Ernakulam district on January 23 and 24.
Defence Minister A K Antony would take part in theconcluding function of the Yatra at Neyyattinkara in thecapital district on February 4.
Congress-led UDF leaders would submit a chargesheet''against the LDF government to the Governor R S Gavai at theend of the Yatra, Hassan said.
