JD-S corporator murdered, two others injured
Bangalore, Jan 16 (PTI) A JD-S corporator was todaymurdered and two others injured by some unidentified personsat Banashankari area of the city, police said.
Police said the accused first attacked Dewan Ali (37)and his associates with sharp weapons near his office and thenopened fire.
"We are still waiting for the post-morterm report toverify whether it was the bullet or the lethal weapons thatcaused the fatal injury," Sonia Narang, DCP, Bangalore SouthDivision told PTI.
Ali was a rowdy sheeter and had various casesregistered against him, including rioting. Police suspectprevious enmity to be one of the reasons behind the murder.
A huge crowd of the corporator''s supporters todayturned up at the KIMS hospital, where the body of Ali wasbrought.
Several police personnel were posted at the hospitalto ensure there was no untoward incident. Ali''s injured aideswere undergoing treatment.
