GDA sealed school for violation of norms

Ghaziabad, Jan 17 (PTI) A public school, accused ofviolating norms, has been sealed by the Ghaziabad DevelopmentAuthority in Vivek Vihar here, officials said today.

"The development authority yesterday sealed the DelhiConvent Public School in Shalimar Garden which is aresidential colony," GDA vice-chairman Narender Chaudharysaid.

No school can be allowed to run in a residentialcolony on plot measuring 600 or more yards without an acceptedmap, Chaudhary said.

Earlier, notices were issued to the school for reformsin violation of norms, but no attention was paid by the schoolmanagement in this regard, he added.
