First lane of flyover for BRTS in Rajkot inaugurated

Rajkot, Jan 17 (PTI) Gujarat Urban DevelopmentMinister Nitin Patel today inaugurated first lane of theflyover constructed for Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) here.

The split bridge was constructed under the JawaharlalNehru National Urban Rural Mission (JNNURM) to ease city''sincreasing traffic problems.

The bridge constructed at a cost of Rs 53 crorecovering nearly ten kms from Jamnagar road to Gondal road.

Patel said the flyover will help ease trafficproblems and make mass transportation easy.

The second lane of the fly-over is expected to getcompleted by March this year, he added.
