Farmers may affect due to high estimates on crop
Yavatmal, Jan 16(PTI) Despite the district suffering fromnature''s wrath in one way or the other for the last fiveyears, the ''Annewari'' survey conducted by the DistrictAdministration has estimated the average annewari here to beabove 50 per cent.
According to a report submitted by the DistrictAdministration to the Divisional Commissioner, the averageAnnewari of the district is pegged at 53 per cent.
The higher Annewari which estimates possible crop yieldwould deprive farmers from getting financial aid from theCentral and State Governments which decide on assistance onlyif the annewari is less than 50 per cent.
Barring the lone tehsil of Digras, all the 15 tehsils andthe villages in them are well off this year as per the surveyreport.
