Couple commit suicide

Berhampur, Jan 16 (PTI) A young couple allegedlycommitted suicide by hanging today at Hukuma village underSorada police station, about 70 km from here in Ganjamdistrict.

While the body of Surya Pradhan (32) was found hangingfrom a tree near his house, that of his 28-year-old wife Anitawas hanging from the ceiling of her room, police said.

Anita and Surya of the same village got marriedabout 12 years ago and had two daughters aged six and threeyears, police said adding the cause of the extreme step takenby the couple was yet to be ascertained.
