Car plunges into gorge; Mother, son from Ghaziabad killed

Dehra Dun, Jan 16 (PTI) A mother and her son, residentsof Ghaziabad district, were killed today when a car in whichthey were travelling fell into a gorge in Mussoorie.

Puja Gupta, aged 27, and her six-year-old son Ashwindied while her husband Vivek Gupta (35) was injured in theaccident, police said.

The family, hailing from Modinagar in Uttar Pradesh''sGhaziabad district, was on way to Mussoorie from Paonta Sahibin Himachal Pradesh when the accident happened.

The car skidded off the road due to snow and fell intoa ditch, police said.

Vivek Gupta was admitted to a hospital in Mussooriewhere his condition was stated to be stable.
