Boy meets watery grave after being chased by SSB personnel

Maharajganj (UP) Jan 17 (PTI) A 16-year-old boy todaydied when he jumped into a river after being chased bypersonnel of border-guarding force SSB when he was crossingthe Indo-Nepal border.

The Sashastra Seema Bal personnel suspected the boy,Manoj Kumar Yadav, to be a smuggler and gave him a chasefollowing which he jumped into the river in that area anddied, police said.

An FIR was lodged against six personnel of thepara-military force at Nausanva Police station after villagersof Murlla, the native place of the boy, demanded actionagainst the guilty.
