Base metals decline on low industrial demand
Mumbai, Jan 17 (PTI) Tin, copper and brass pricesdeclined at the non-ferrous metal market here today due tosluggish industrial demand amidst bearish trend at the LondonMetal Exchange (LME).
While, zinc prices moved up on increased offtake fromconsumer industries.
Tin dropped by Rs 5 per kilo to Rs 1,415 from lastSaturday''s closing level of Rs 1,420 and copper sheets cuttingfell by Rs 3 per kilo to Rs 427, as against Rs 430 previously.
Copper cable scrap edged down by Rs 2 per kilo to Rs 453from Rs 455.
Copper armiture, copper wire bar and brass utensils scrapsoftened by Re 1 per kilo each to Rs 434, Rs 482 and Rs 298,respectively.
However, zinc inched up by Re 1 per kilo to Rs 134 fromRs 133 last weekend.
