Arunachal BJP criticises petrol price hike
Itanagar, Jan 17 (PTI) The BJP in Arunachal Pradeshtoday criticised the Congress-led UPA government at the Centrefor raising petrol prices and demanded its immediate rollback.
"When the world is witnessing a stable price regimeand food prices are actually going down in major parts of theworld, India is experiencing a turbulent price regime becauseof lack of any cohesive policy on the part of the UPAgovernment," BJP spokesman Tai Tagak said in a statement here.
When people were reeling under a rise of 10 per centin wholesale price index and 18 per cent on food prices, thegovernment should have offered relief, instead of imposed aburden of Rs 5.50 a litre in a month, he said.
