Tripathi to head RAW for 2 years from December 30

New Delhi, Dec 28 (PTI) S K Tripathi, an official ofResearch and Analysis Wing Administrative Service, willtake charge of the external intelligence agency from December30 for a period of two years.

A statement issued today by the Department of Personneland Training said The Appointments Committee of Cabinetcleared the name of Tripathi, an officer of 1972 batch of RAS,to take charge of Secretary (Research and Analysis Wing),Cabinet Secretariat from K C Verma, a 1971-batch IPS officerof Jharkhand cadre who will superannuate on December 30, 2010.

Sanjeev Tripathi, who heads the Aviation Research Centre(ARC), a part of RAW, was an IPS officer of Uttar PradeshCadre.
